Hello everyone and welcome to our third week in June.
Well, it is all happening in the French household. The clean-up from the bathroom renovation is over, and it is wonderful to have the work completed but more importantly, to have a new bathroom. Guess what, it was timed to perfection for the release of the Nutrimetics baby OLC 500 ml pump action bottle. Just what we needed for a new bathroom or what everyone needs for their bathroom.
It was the champagne for the new reno, and the bubbles have been flowing.
John and I have used OLC exclusively around the house since we joined Nutrimetics. We have it in all the bathrooms, powder room, kitchen and laundry. We had our own pump bottles, but I only had a squeeze bottle in our shower. This was not ideal, but for some reason, we persevered. Thank you Nutrimetics you have awoken the sleeping giant in this one.
Looking back on the bathroom reno John and I both admit we didn't see it as a significant job. How wrong we were. The Tradies were all great guys and did a super job but walking over carpet and up and down carpeted stairs takes its toll.
The fun story to come out of the ordeal was the ADD-ONS. That is what John called them. It was like would you love to update the toilet? And then the taps and shower head "Annette these need to go they are not going to suit the new look." I could see John's calculator working overtime. However, he did reflect ADD-ONS have been part of his Nutrimetics life. He is very good at it. When he has a client on the phone ordering, they always receive the bonus ADD-ONS.
So I did remind him when the builder was suggesting new toilets, new taps, towel racks etc, that you do the same thing to benefit our clients. He agreed and switched off the calculator.
It is special to make improvements. Many of us strive to do better every day. While the bathroom was a challenge, the end result proves it was worth the effort. I must admit the calculator did pop up again when I quizzed the contractor about tidying up the second bathroom. It happened, and while the calculator ran out of numbers, we are both smiling with the end result in both rooms.
So we thank you Nutrimetics for having the 500ml pump action bottle of OLC ready for the Bathroom Celebrations.
The renovations did highlight two completely different scenarios to me.
Firstly it was the comparison with our business. There can always be struggles and inconvenience before the result we want. Secondly, in Mother Nature, when I look at the funny, sometimes ugly bulbs to see the most amazingly beautiful flowers, they bloom and produce. The Lillies I have been enjoying from my office all week and my special purchase this morning of this gorgeous orchid.
Just as the English Proverbs remind us – that big things often come from very small things – “Large streams from little fountains flow” and “From little acorns do Mighty Oak Trees grow.”
It is the little things we do each day that make the big difference.
