Memories
Thought I would share the September message from Louise Hay to commence our blog this week.
“I know that it is never too late to try new things or to become what I have always wanted to be. My potential is unlimited! Each moment of my life is fresh and vital, and I use my time to create exactly what I want. This month, I work on breaking free of old fears so that I can welcome all the glorious gifts Life has for Me” Louise Hay.
We often talk about reflecting on special times. Well this week certainly had John thinking about his life from way back.
We were watching our grandson Will unwrap and try on his Queensland singlet and running shorts and John went way back to 1966 when he was trying on his Queensland singlet for the first time. It was a bit of a shame John doesn’t have his singlet still as we would have had a great shot of the old Queenslander and a new young blood. It would have been a nice keepsake but unfortunately John’s singlet is just a memory.
John was lucky enough to see Will run in Kembla Grange on Saturday. There were a few tears shed I am told. Both before the race and after they tell me. Will was part of the Brisbane Grammar Cross Country team representing Queensland and the boys did everyone proud finishing second and winning the Silver Medal just a whisker behind the renowned Hailbury College from Melbourne.
Jack, our eldest grandson is also having John reflect on his younger days. Jack, now at University is coaching a Brisbane Grammar Basketball side. To date they are undefeated which is very exciting but the pleasure we are getting is how he is critiquing each game with us. He loves having us go along and then sometime later he will come and see us and phone us to talk over the game. I just love it and I know John thinks it special as well. Three games to go until season end. I am holding my breath. He is doing a great job mentoring and coaching these young boys and they all deserve a premiership.
“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career, I’ve lost almost 300 games. Twenty-six times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” Michael Jordan.
The time we have with the family emphasises the beauty of our Nutrimetics business. There is no way we would be able to go to so many games or functions if we were working 9 to 5 jobs. What I have spoken about this week is a reflection of our whole Nutrimetics life. With the flexible working hours you can always arrange to be at your children’s special days or if you have a special invitation you will be there. You don’t have to ask anyone as you are the one in charge of your life, your diary and your business. Love that this is one of the great advantages of a Nutrimetics business.
We are so proud to be sharing a little of the memories with you all today. We love our grandchildren who have and who continue to give us so much love and happiness. When you achieve or someone close to you achieves you have every right to be proud and excited and to share that pride and excitement.
It is most important to celebrate the moment.
Thought for the week;- “Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared believe that something inside them was superior to circumstances” Bruce Barton.
We are so looking forward to jetting off to Croatia at the end of the week and look forward to sharing lots of photos and more treasured memories with you all.
Take care and keep well
Cheers Annette
