What we do when we can't travel internationally

Hello Everyone

It is that time of the Nutrimetics year when we congratulate all our International Seminar Achievers. Well done to everyone, especially to Kristie and John See and Sandy Town.

Of course, with the international travel climate the way it is, we will not be travelling overseas this year. While difficult for Victoria, it has made it quite awkward for interstate travel in Australia as well.

With International Seminar always held in September, Nutrimetics had some tough decisions to make. I believe they chose wisely. The company have decided to Cash Reward all achievers. When you sit down and consider their decision with time running out and so much uncertainty, it was their only choice but still a very wise one.

John and I are most appreciative of the lump sum in the bank, and we are already discussing what we will spend it on.

At a conference, we attended in February this year, one of the guest speakers spoke about Family Holidays. He posed the question on what sort of holiday suits a family best. His story was he had taken his family on an International Holiday, a travelling holiday in Australia and a camping holiday in Australia. Which do you think would suit or more importantly be appreciated and enjoyed by your family?

I think we would all come up with the same answer. His answer was the internal camping holiday. The reason was the kids could rise when they wished, looked after themselves for the entire day and loved the time with their parents. Sure they appreciated going overseas, but to be continually meeting deadlines does become a little too much. When it comes to a travelling holiday in Australia, not too many children enjoy being in a car for too long.

I am certainly not suggesting John and I will go camping. Nutrimetics has taught me to enjoy "five-star" travel not "under the star" travel. I must admit I do love those white sheets and feel a little spoilt in this area.

As we reflect on the beautiful holidays Nutrimetics have provided for us we often discuss which we enjoyed the most. Was it South America, North America, Europe or the West Indies?

I often picture myself in many of these areas. One that continues to bring tears to my eyes is South America. Picture yourself in the Amazon jungle in a little Eco Village. Not too many luxuries, walking with guides in the jungle and riding in dugout canoes at night down the mighty Amazon as Alligators snap at their evening meal and dive into the water. This was a magical experience, and from there we were off to Machu Picchu and fabulous Patagonia. In between of course we visited all the great cities Lima, Cusco, Rio, Bolivia, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Valparaiso, Montevideo and one of John's favourites Puerto Montt in Chile. It was a special holiday, and we will always appreciate what Nutrimetics has provided for us. We have recommended South America to so many people. While we stayed in some amazing hotels, the thing that we remember most was how we were made feel by these beautiful people.

So no international travel at this time and it may be quite some time before it happens again. However, with these seminar dollars to spend, I am sure Mr John will come up with somewhere in this great country of ours. So I say watch this space.

Travel is a wonderful part of the Nutrimetics package. It is a time where you get away with your friends and colleagues and have a great fun-filled time. It is a time where Team Building is cemented in place, and wonderful experiences and opportunities are exchanged.
