Hello Special People
I hope you are all enjoying this lovely rain, although I do admit we here in Brisbane are close to having enough. I have just come in from outside, and you can hear the water squelching as you walk on the ground. It is so wet. In the past couple of Blogs, I have touched on the nice and happy things most of us enjoy at this special time of the year.
However, today as I was opening the mail, I was reminded that there are those living in Hope. Their lives may have been impacted in so many ways. They find it difficult to ask for help, and it is only when they do this that there may be a change in their lives—a change for the better. There is help there, but taking that first step can be very, very difficult for some.
What came in the mail was our monthly mail from MY PLACE. I am sure it used to be called Boys Town, but thankfully they changed to include girls and, in fact, families. I opened the brochure, and there on the first and second page was the stories of what I had just been talking about - One – a 14-year-old girl – tells of an unhappy home, how she was ill-treated, and this reflected into her school life. She didn't have anyone she could talk with until she plucked up the courage to ring Kids Helpline. Now she is in safe hands and willing to talk about her life and how things have improved with the help provided by My Place. There are other stories alongside this one. To see the good coming from these charities warms your heart. While you are not looking for a thank you for your support to these charities, the stories of hope do say just that. Thank you, and encourage you to continue to Give. Support means so much and can be done in so many ways.
John and I spent a morning this last week at one of our Christian radio stations, 96.5 answering the phones for their half-yearly fund-raising appeal. It filled our hearts hearing people respond so generously to the station, which, in some cases, has taken them from despair to Hope.
So, guess the moral of these stories is to share the Christmas spirit as much as we can with as many as we can to keep Hope alive for so many people.
I trust by now you will have all received your November-December brochure. Nutrimetics have continued in the Christmas Spirit with more amazing Gifts and unbelievable specials. I am sure you will find something for everyone. I love the Stocking Fillers –the Snowman and the scented hand creams – and how good are the merry minis.
Our blog today is timed nicely with the release of the Black Friday specials, and I am sure our Angel will include these for everyone to see. Secret Santa tells me there could be some extra specials coming along between now and Christmas, so we will ensure to get these out to everyone as quickly as possible so you don't miss the opportunity for a Christmas bargain.
In closing, we would love to highlight the Super offers featured in the time to celebrate Xmas brochure 16th October – 31st December, particularly the Nutri-Moist that finishes on November 30th. Once that trusted computer turns over on 1st December, we can no longer purchase and order these Super offers at the amazing prices featured. The remainder of the Christmas brochure continues until the end of December.
We send each of you the blessings of peace, health and happiness, and until next week, take care and stay safe.
Cheers Annette
