Hello Special People
What a lovely way to begin the day from Louise Hay – I begin the day by reminding myself that life supports me and wants me to be fulfilled and happy.
Well, I have just come in from Rose duty and am pleased to report they have survived all the rain. In fact, they loved it – even though the pots were filling with water – they look in great shape with new buds forming.
It's amazing, isn't it, how we continually pray for rain. Then when we get buckets full, we worry about what is going to happen to everything. Poor John is moaning everything is growing too fast, and with him getting slower, he can't handle the pace, particularly with the hedges. So I tell him to keep plodding and take one day at a time. It is not a bad expression. I always believe we need to make a 'to do list' each day and then prioritise to get the important things out of the way, and the remainder can wait until the next day if time runs out.
Autumn is my favourite time of the year. The climate is so lovely and peaceful. Not too hot and not too cold. I love that change in the surrounds. We see the leaves on the trees start to change colour and are so beautiful. I remember we did an East Coast tour of America in the fall many years ago, and I can still see those beautiful autumn colours. I can recommend that trip to all of you. It would be the same every year so maybe think of putting it on your 'to do list' when things open up again for us to travel. This is one thing I do miss from Toowoomba experiencing the change of the seasons. We did experience that in Toowoomba with a large Liquid Amber tree in our front garden that shed the beautiful coloured leaves in autumn and then watching the gorgeous new spring buds as it gained its new foliage in the spring.
Talking about travel, we are excited with the news we can go to New Zealand from next week, and of course, the New Zealanders can come to see us. We will certainly be making our way over there in the ensuing months. It has been too long between visits to see the grandchildren over there. It has been good having face time, but nothing beats being able to give those hugs in person. We can't wait for this to happen. As we talk about the change of the seasons, I also loved experiencing this at Mark's beautiful property in NZ. He has well established mature trees, especially Magnolias, which are one of my favourites.
If you would love to experience autumn with Nutrimetics, I would love to extend an invitation to each of you to join us online on Tuesday night 13th April at 7 p.m. for the company Centre Stage Event – "Ace your base" where we will be enjoying learning about all the newly released concealers and new Autumn colours. I have enclosed the link for you to be able to click on to experience and learn all about how to maximise the new products.
Thank you for your very kind calls and texts regarding Mum. We are just taking one day at a time at the moment. Easter was particularly difficult for us all with her home in lockdown, and of course, she hadn't been able to see us the week prior after her hospital visit. To hear her crying on the phone was heart-wrenching for us all. Fortunately, while the home is still in lockdown, they have identified her loneliness and needing to see the family, so my sisters and I have been allowed to visit one at a time this last week. She has moved from being extremely anxious and crying to being peaceful and calm but in her own little world. We feel blessed that she still knows each of us, but we do hear some very funny stories, like wanting my sister to purchase the home so that she is closer and she will help her out in the kitchen
Guess we need a funny close to any blog, so here goes;- John is thinking he may go down to the Broncos' training next week. He said he could see so much wrong in their game on Thursday night, and he believes he has the solution. I wished him the best of luck. From the way I hear him moaning when the games are on, I would think they need more than John's help and ideas.
How beautiful does everything look at the moment? The parks and garden, so green, the sky such a beautiful clear blue and I have loved being able to open all the windows and see the sun shining in each room. We are blessed.
Enjoy this gorgeous season with your family and loved ones, and until next week, take care and stay safe.
Love Annette x
