Hello Special People
"I am on my perfect path. I am guided, supported, and happier than I ever dreamed!" What beautiful words from Louise to commence our Blog this week.
I found another article in the magazine I spoke about last, and it is about exercise. A Physiotherapist wrote it. He started his article with the opening quote, "I always say if there was a pill for exercise, every single doctor would be prescribing it." I guess that quote really grabs your attention, so it was read on for me. He went on to explain how important it is to focus on mobility and flexibility. He spoke about arthritis and how many of us give in to our aches and pains. He was unrelentingly claiming that even when there are signs of arthritis, we must try to keep our joints mobile and flexible. The article really enthused me towards our Gym Program at QUT. I will be going with a changed attitude this week, and instead of pulling against my student instructor, I may step up the program.
While I have mentioned many times how I dislike the program, I have always realized I need it and benefit from the exercise. My enthusiasm is sky-high this week, so I will look at those machines and weights with a different attitude.
The smile this week reflects the need for continued exercise!!!
We enjoyed a celebration dinner for Will on Saturday night before he headed off to Sydney for his five-week Internship with JP Morgan. His birthday is while he is in Sydney, so we decided it would be nice to have dinner and the Birthday trimmings before Sunday's flight. He really appreciated it and was in good spirits heading off to the airport on Sunday morning. He sent us a video of his unit in Sydney for a comfortable stay.
John has been reminiscing this week on some of the LP records we used to have when we first married. One of the first things we purchased was a beautiful, polished wood stereogram. It was our pride and joy, and of course, the music was beautiful. He searched Spotify and found what he was looking for, and I was treated to our first-ever LPs for the entire week. While I know our original Stereo was a great sound, our latest speakers enhance the music. The magic of a mobile phone once again with Spotify.
We are enjoying glorious sunny days here in Brisbane this week. It is cool in the mornings and evenings, but the clear blue skies and sun throughout the day certainly outweigh the cooler hours. We were lucky enough to have a few showers during the nights, so weather-wise, it has been an ideal week. The weather is helping my potting exercise for our church's Spring Flower Festival in early September. I purchased some gorgeous violas and repotted them into larger pots, and if all goes well, they will be at their peak for the September weekend. The Spring Flower Festival is our major fundraiser, so the more pots we have to sell, the better the results.
Speaking of the Red Hill Anglican Church, it celebrates its 136th year this Sunday. A grand old building perhaps needs a coat of paint, but the commemorative lunch on Sunday will be a memorable occasion. No doubt, funds for the Spring Festival will bring the much-needed coat of paint closer.
I leave you this week with a Power of Positivity quote:- "The pain you feel today is the strength you feel tomorrow. For every challenge encountered, there is an opportunity for growth."
This fits in nicely with how we commenced the Blog for this week.
Sending blessings of peace, health and happiness to each of you.
Love Annette x
