Hello Special People
After a couple of visits to the Dermatologist specialist with John these last couple of weeks, the message from Louise Hay this morning is so appropriate. "I listen with love to my body's messages. My body knows how to support me." He has had a nasty leg after a skin cancer curette last Wednesday. Fortunately, the incision was all clear, but we had another visit to the specialist this morning, with them taking a swab to see if the antibiotic is the correct one for continued healing. It has had him laid up for a few days doing nothing at all. I am the nurse bathing the wound and attending to the dressings, etc.
I guess many of you are like me, feeling a little disappointed after Mathilda’s heartbreaking loss last night. John and I were on the edge of our seats for most of the game. However, I believe we must be honest and agree that England were the better and more composed team on the night. Certainly, they went out there to upset our girls, and it was not nice to see them getting away with the rough tactics. John is interested in getting tickets to the playoff game in Brisbane on Saturday night, but he is not having much luck. It would be nice to cheer the girls home one last time.
It sounds as though I am an expert after watching two games. Funny, isn't it how our patriotic sense comes to the fore. We just love seeing those Green and Gold colours. I am sure we will be in the lounge chairs at 5.30 on Saturday either way.
Apart from Matilda's fever, life has quieted down a little this week, apart from Will's 21st Birthday celebrations on Saturday night and a fun night with Amy and Mark at the Broncos on Friday evening.
We also enjoyed going to see the movie Oppenheimer last weekend. While quite intense, it is an extremely good film. Will had recommended we go see it, and even though it was 3 hours, you certainly did not notice the timing as it was so interesting.
I am currently starting to prepare for the New Zealander’s arrival in a couple of weeks. They are coming for the school holidays. I am always excited to see them, and we always have some of the children come to stay with us. Their Aussie cousins were excited with the news that they are just a matter of weeks away. The cousins all treasure these holiday times together.
Business news for the week: our new N-Central IT system continues to test me. Change is always a test, but after 35 years of placing orders, I feel I have been given a challenge. Kat will pop up the necessary link for placing orders to make things simple and easy to navigate. The company has free shipping today and some extra bonus specials to coincide with After Pay Day. However, the free shipping and enclosed specials apply regardless of whether you have After Pay or not, so enjoy. Remember, we are here if you need any assistance at all with this. So, in closing, it is "Go the Matildas." Finishing third with a win over Sweden would be a fitting ending to their World Cup campaign.
I thought this a rather lovely quote to share for the week –“ Plant gratitude, and it will grow. From just one seed, thousands of lives are touched."
Until next week, take care as we send the blessings of peace, health and happiness from our home to your homes.
Love Annette
