Well, summer has come with a real rush. It is well up in the 30's here as I type this to you today. I must admit I don't like the heat and especially the humidity and so the air conditioner and the fans are working overtime. So, it is time for me to enjoy being inside.
Mark, our son, is over from New Zealand to celebrate his 50th birthday. A telling tale, isn't it when your youngest turns 50? We celebrated at the Regatta on Saturday. Lots of lovely steaks and plenty of storytelling and laughs. He moved onto Noosa with Amy on Monday to enjoy a further week of celebrations. They head home on Tuesday and will be back with the three boys who we haven't seen for three years for Christmas. We are so excited to see them. The voices have become deeper, and they have all grown so tall over this period. While the phone and social media platforms have been helpful over this period, it is not the same as being able to have a big hug.
I have been put through a double dose of exercise this week. John and I had a week at the Sunshine Coast last week with friends, so the Gym Master said you missed a day, Annette, so do a make up this week. You can imagine how excited I was. A double dose of agony. I was even moaning and groaning to John before we arrived for session one on Tuesday morning. He has no feelings that John. He just laughs and says, "You have a choice, Annette." With the two exercise classes and three yoga sessions this week, we are making up for a week of indulgence last week. You know how it is!!!
Walking is really out of the question at the moment. It is so hot and humid, so at least the gym is in air conditioning, and of course, the pool for the yoga is refreshing.
On the business front, Nutrimetics have responded to Christmas with daily super specials. It is certainly keeping us on our toes, ensuring our customers are all aware of the specials. After spending several days while we were away with two different groups of friends, it came to my attention that even though the brochure images are fantastic, my friends really wanted my opinion on the best buys.
