Hello Special People
December – The Universe totally supports my every thought, so I choose to be calm and peaceful this month. My inner peace is the best gift I can give to myself and those around me. As the year ends, I look forward to even better things coming my way. Louise Hay
We have lovely rain falling as I write to you today. In fact, they are predicting it will be with us all day. I know not everyone would be enjoying more rain, and I feel for them. The weather is something out of our control. The changes suit some of us while others need the opposite.
It has been a busy week here in the French household. John was off to have his first cataract removed on Tuesday. He pulled through brighter than ever and is already skiting he can see better. His eye looks terrible, and I wonder how he can see out of it at all. But he is up and about doing his usual duties (well, some of them, anyway). I worry more than he does. He is back to the doctor to have it checked tomorrow morning (after much persuasion), and next Tuesday, he has the left eye attended to. The drama will continue Wednesday with me going in for surgery on the BCC on the side of my nose. So not sure how next week will transpire. I must pull on all my resources to rise above my fears. I think we will both be so happy to see this fortnight behind us.
We both send out sincere thanks for all the lovely messages both prior to John's surgery and certainly afterwards. They were very kind and thoughtful – thank you. In John's words - please say thank you to all of you who sent "be brave' notes!!!!
Realising on Monday that John would not be able to do any lifting for some time and that our Xmas Tree and decorations were packed in like sardines in the storage under the stairs, the Christmas tree needed to come out to be decorated. We usually have a small fresh Xmas tree for John and I, but with the NZ family coming for Xmas and the youngest only 10, I knew that he would love the lights and bells of the traditional Xmas tree. It does look beautiful, and the decorations around the house make you realise Christmas is just around the corner. I love popping all the different decorations on the tree that we have collected on all our years of travel around the world. Each time I open each little box, the memories flood back of the fun we had purchasing them. Xmas overseas is celebrated in a big way, and while at times it was a challenge bringing the decorations home, we certainly treasure them now.
The grandchildren are appreciating the end of their studies. Both the boys were happy with their results and are already out celebrating. So much effort goes into their year, and it is great to see them enjoying the fruits of their labors.
It really is hard to believe that we are only a matter of weeks until Xmas the year seems to have flown even more quickly this year.
On the business front, the company are celebrating an Advent Calendar for the first 21 days of December with a special offer each day, with the offers cumulating over the 21 days. We will pop these out to you all over this period, or by following us on our social media pages, our Angel will have them featured each day.
I love this beautiful message from Adele Basheer to close for this week – Hope Shines – In the light of love, hope and happiness, we give each other the chance to grow into our best and most brightest selves.
Wishing you all the blessings of peace, health and happiness
– Love Annette
