Hello Everyone
Today I was reflecting on what I love most at the moment. Certainly, the simplicity of health, happiness and the lifestyle we are blessed to enjoy was to the fore.
I have just come in from my 10 minutes that I love to spend each day in the sunshine to ensure my body receives that all-important Vitamin D. As well as being essential for our immune system it keeps our bones nice and healthy. This quiet time in the sunshine builds my Mindful Training to inspire a Mindful day with a focus on gratitude.
One of the many bonuses of our business is the flexibility which of course relates to our flexible lifestyle. However, I do love to ensure we do the important things each day. We commence the day with an exercise programme which includes a warm-up, stretching; Qigong and we alternate this each day with an hours walk.
Next comes bringing in the Cyclamen after enjoying their night in the cold, making sure all the indoor flowers and plants are happy and then lighting the candles, adding the oils to the burners and demisters (currently loving the blend of Cedarwood, Lavender, Frankincense and Roman Chamomile oils) and turning all the reeds. The gorgeous fragrance wafts through the house.
Today was a bonus as I was able to enjoy a mask and my favourite at the moment is the new Ultra Care+ Bamboo sheet masque. These 15 minutes again give me the opportunity which I love for peace and quiet time for reflection.
After pottering and checking the roses, I was able to enjoy my Milk Kefir shake with all the added ‘goodies’ for breakfast. Love to fast as long as possible after our evening meal the night before having breakfast each day.
Making the rosewater jelly and tending my homemade Kombucha drink follows to make sure we have plenty of supply for the week. I just love attending to my healthy diet programme, and wherever possible, I make things myself.
With the house now in order, it is off to the office to attend to whatever is happening for the day. John will have lunch ready on time, and then depending on the diary of the day, it will be back to the office and phone calls. Today I have my fortnightly meeting with my health group. We meet together with five other special ladies to discuss and share all elements of health and wellbeing finishing with the lady who hosts the meeting playing her music bowls while we enjoy 20 minutes of meditation. Love this time together.
At the weekend we do enjoy having Happy Hour, and I have to be honest Mr John endeavours to celebrate whatever he can think of to sneak in that glass of wine to celebrate during the week.
Reflecting on our 35 years in the business while we have enjoyed many tangible and intangible rewards, the flexibility of our lifestyle has to be one of the most valued. I have always been able to attend school and church meetings, our children's sports days and now the grandchildren sports and speech day along with any other activity they are involved in. It has given us both the opportunity to give back to the community with Volunteer work which is very important to us.
I guess we have been fortunate with John's profession as he rarely missed any of the above and has always been able to be beside me at Nutrimetics Functions. I think the only one he missed was my first car presentation. However, he and Mark did make up for not being able to come to Brisbane that day. When I drove the new Toyota Corolla in and pressed the button to open the garage door, I was met with a garage full of streamers and congratulation messages. It was very special, and while I have been blessed to drive some amazing vehicles as this was the first brand new car we had ever had, I will always remember and appreciate that amazing feeling of excitement.
Our daughter Leisa and husband are away for the night celebrating a business award so it will be collecting Will and Mathilda from school this afternoon. Then Mr John will be responsible for their favourite dinner tonight, lemon herb risotto and chicken. We both enjoy as much time as we can with the grandchildren who have and continue to give us so much love and happiness.
Almost lunchtime as I finish replying to my emails, speaking to team members and finishing off the Blog. I hope you have enjoyed a walk through our day and trust the simplicity of peace, health and happiness finds each of your days as well.
Mr John is calling for lunch, so I wonder what he has in-store today.
Until next week, enjoy life and the blessing of flexibility.
Annette
