Hello everyone and welcome to November.
Would love to share from our friend Louise Hay – November – I have learned that the more serene I am inside, the more serenity I have to share. Therefore, I open my heart and speak lovingly to others this month. I look for things to be thankful for, and express gratitude often. As I focus on peace and blessings, that in turn is what I find in my life.
As the years roll on and yes, I am reaching the 'age of elegance' I look back and feel I have earned the right of flexibility.
Don't get me wrong I don't mean selfishly but knowing you have put in the hard yards. I think it is fair to have time to enjoy the things you love. For a long time, we women felt like we were invisible over a certain age. But think about it, we have more to offer now than we did in our twenties and thirties. We have life experience and wisdom, and maybe that is even better than being young. Sure things change. Our body shapes, for instance, but we can move up in the dress sizes, cut off the tag, and say we are at the Age of Elegance. For me, the one annoying thing is glasses. I am becoming more reliant on them each and every day.
So I ask all of you out there to join me in "I have earned the right to do what I love and enjoy." If you see something, you like, then go for it. Just be careful you do not have as much as you once enjoyed. Whatever it is – chocolate, wine, great food, the things that give life its delight.
One thing John and I are stepping up at the moment is our daily walks. We have increased the distance, and I have noticed John upped the ante in pace this week. However, we do enjoy being out in the sunshine. It is a special time of our day where we have time to mull over whatever is happening in our lives, may it be family, personal or even business. We have some amazing walking tracks close to home, and it is so enjoyable to get out in the fresh air and sunshine and listen to the birds on our journey. The streams are all running after our beautiful rain, and I love to see the water flowing.
I think Happy Hour is John's right to do what he wants, but I do think it is a special way to finish the day.
When I look back, John has always encouraged me to do what I want. He is tremendous support, and while he offers opinions (some I don't always like and agree with), he is happy with my business decisions. I remember when I first talked about buying my Nutrimetics Kit, John was working out in the garden and I thought it would be an excellent time to tackle him on the $165 spends. We often talk about it and laugh about where that choice has taken us.
We love what we do, and I can see us continuing as long as we feel we are able to offer support and assistance to our people. Only this week we had the joy of experiencing a brand new Manager achieving her new Hyundai i30. We have been blessed to watch this happen so many times over the years but the joy to see others achieve and earn the right to do what they want is so rewarding and exciting.
Everyone has the same opportunity as Maureen and Ken Watson, our brand new Managers. They have been prepared to roll up their sleeves every day and chase their dream.
Would love to extend you the invitation to give it a go, the rewards are exceptional, and you earn the right to enjoy that flexibility in your life.
Wishing you all a happy and healthy week and until we touch base again next week, take care and stay safe.
Cheers Annette
