Hello Special People
As we celebrate Earth Day this week, we thought we would deviate from our normal blog and focus on Aromatherapy's Benefits to the Tree. My sister Dianne has kindly shared this information, which I found very interesting, and I trust that each of you will also.
Fruit: Citrus Fruits contribute to the environment in several ways, providing fresh oxygen and enhancing biodiversity by attracting pollinators.
Flowers are nature's invitation to pollinators such as bees, butterflies, and birds. In summary, flowers are not only visually delightful but also essential for a tree's reproduction and ecological balance.
Leaves: Leaves are the tree's solar panels; they absorb sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water. They act as natural filters, trapping airborne pollutants and helping improve air quality by removing harmful substances, providing shade, and cooling the surrounding environments. Insects feed on leaves; birds nest among them. In summary, leaves are the tree's dynamic workforce, tirelessly performing vital functions.
Seeds: Seeds hold a promise of life. They encapsulate the genetic information needed for growth and development. Seeds store essential nutrients, providing energy and sustenance for the tree's growth. Seeds hold the promise of transformation and renewal.
Resin: Tree resin, also known as sap, serves several crucial tree functions. When a tree sustains wounds, resin rapidly seals over the wounds. It acts as a protective barrier, preventing invading insects and fungal disease agents from entering the tree. It also plays a role in regulating water loss from the tree's tissues and helps reduce excessive water loss through the bark and wood.
Woods: Wood is a remarkable natural material derived from tree trunks and branches. Some trees, like Cedarwood, Sandalwood, or Cypress, yield essential oils from their wood, which have therapeutic properties. The oils are used for relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional balance.
Roots: Tree roots play crucial roles in the life of the tree, contributing to its health, growth, and overall ecosystem. Roots absorb water, nutrients, and minerals from the soil and channel these vital substances to other parts of the tree, ensuring its survival and growth. Roots also serve as anchors during windstorms. Roots provide stability.
When we read all the health benefits associated with the Tree, we fully understand the value and awareness of Earth Day and the importance to our Environment.
Louise Hay’s message this week aligned beautifully: -“I care deeply about Mother Earth. This planet is my only home, so I take good care of her resources."
A very profound and meaningful message for each of us as we walk our daily lives.
We wish each of you to take good care of you and send the blessings of health and happiness.
Love Annette x
