Hello Special people
Well, winter is undoubtedly with us. How quickly it has changed. I was fortunate last week to be locked away in a beautiful Gold Coast hotel. It was Nutrimetics Annual Conference. So nice to have in-person and not a visual as we have had in the past few years. Lots of partying and laughing and of course some work. The big news is Nutrimetics has been sold to the New Zealand company New Image. We loved having the opportunity to chat and meet the owner Graeme Clegg and reacquaint with two of our previous CEOs who are now involved with New Image. It is a family-owned and run New Zealand company. I believe it will be good for us to get back into the family fold. I can't wait to get started with them.
It is incredible how quickly your strength deteriorates. Having missed our Gym session last week, we were both struggling on our return on Tuesday morning. I could even hear John's bones creaking. Usually, the hour session would not worry him. Perhaps the cold had a little to do with it as well. We are back for another session on Friday. Surprisingly we were home in time for both of our Aqua sessions which we both enjoyed even though it was cold outside.
I know I must stop complaining about the gym session. I know it is what we need to be doing every day so I think this could be the last time you will hear about our training. It is a great program. Both parties get so much out of it. We improve our strength and stamina, and the students at QUT get the experience of working in an environment like what they will be dealing with at the completion of their course in December. I particularly notice the students with or without good people skills, which will be such an asset as they move out into the public arena.
Like all of you, I am sure the week has been busy. John and I spent time on Wednesday morning at our community Christian Radio station 96.5 answering the phones for the half-yearly appeal "Unite in Hope" and found myself a couple of times with tears rolling down my cheeks at both the generosity of people and listening to the conversations of the listeners reflecting the attitude of gratitude for a station showing kindness and care. Whatever we give out when volunteering certainly comes back in blessings 100-fold.
Wednesday afternoon, we looked forward to our monthly massage and have included a couple of photos taken from the studio's balcony reflecting the difference in the cloud formation within a couple of hours while we were there. Such a beautiful picture with the river and the city in the background. Talking about the sky hope you all had a chance to take in the magnificent full moon this week so gorgeous. Blue sky here in Brisbane today, but still very cold.
Rather than send an additional mailing to each of you this week, we decided to leave the additional company special released on Tuesday night and include this with our blog today. Our Social Media Angel, Kat, will pop these up for you all to enjoy.
