Well, hasn't the world gone crazy with the border opening and so many changes to our Covid rules? It has almost been a revolution of excitement here in Brisbane. So many out shopping. The larger shopping centres are packed, and John just loves going and trying to find a safe place for his precious car. I keep telling him it is Christmas and to get in the spirit. He really does love Christmas, but those shopping centres do dent his love just a little. But great to see so many out and about and the shops busy.

Well, today is the dreaded Thursday, but of course, with the holidays, there were no exercise classes at the gym this morning. Instead, we decided to trim the hedges at the front and take our walk. As it is such a hot day, I was able to counteract missing the gym this morning doing the additional workload.
John and I are off to Yamba for the Xmas break to spend time with the family, so after having our booster injection this morning, we have been checking with NSW and Qld to ensure we have all the boxes ticked for a smooth return to Queensland.
How are you all managing these Xmas festivities and parties? I am trying to be good and not over indulge, but I must confess I do love my potato crisps. Once I start, I can’t seem to stop, and it's all John's fault. He opens a packet for Happy hour each day. In fact, I just saw him arrive home with a packet called Red Wine and Sea Salt, so I can't wait for 5 o'clock to sample them. I will let you know next week how they were.
Our grandchildren Will and Jack have just completed their university exams for the year. I was having a restless night last night, and I noticed Jack's office light was still on at 3.30 a.m., and he was still hard at it. They do have to put alot of time in, and I know everyone will say, "It will be rewarded in the long run." And yes, I guess it will.
John celebrated his birthday on Monday. It was so lovely having the three eldest grandchildren here with him to celebrate.
I hope you are all gearing up for Christmas. We have finished our shopping apart from the ham and turkey and all the things for Christmas Lunch. All are ordered, and John will go out there late next week to collect all the orders.
It is a busy, fun and exciting time of the year, and I trust like us that you are looking forward to some quiet time over the holidays to recharge the batteries ready for 2022. I have a couple of books ready to take to the beach.
