Hello Special People
I am greeted as I type the blog today by Louise Hay's message —: "Yesterday is done and gone, and today is the first day of my future."
I have been reflecting on our time during our lockdowns. I think you will agree that we all learnt so much. We were all tested in so many ways. Social media comes immediately to mind. I fought it for so long, but I soon realized during lockdown that I had to change my thoughts towards learning for social, family and business. It tested my resilience but looking back, it strengthened my resilience and certainly built my confidence to persevere with my new learning. And how happy I am. The different areas I have learnt have been a saviour in the three areas I mentioned. Thank you for the lesson on resilience.
There are often areas of life where we are tested. Think about your life; I know you will find times when your resilience was tested, but your confidence was boosted.
It has been another busy week. Nutrimetics had their first face-to-face meeting in two years. It was great to catch up with the Sydney siders, and they expressed many great ideas for the future of the business. It all sounds exciting.
In exciting news from the event, we had some superb offers to help us achieve all our summer skin goals which I have popped below for you.
Last night we celebrated Jack's, our eldest grandson's birthday. Hard to believe he is 23. Lots of fond memories along the way. We were fortunate to be in Sydney the day he was born. We were living in Toowoomba at the time and sitting in on a meeting at Batman, Sydney, when we received the phone call. I can tell you it was meeting over for John and me. We were off to the Mater hospital to greet our first grandchild. We spoke about it last night, and I am sure it will be a topic of conversation each time we gather to celebrate Jack's birthday. He has and continues to give us so much love and happiness, as do all our grandchildren. I may have mentioned it before that I say to John that our grandchildren are a gift from God.
Speaking of how time flies, we are this month celebrating the birthday of our youngest child, Mark, who turns 50. He and his partner Amy will be coming over from NZ to enjoy a week's celebration at Noosa. We are so looking forward to having them here in Aus as we are also looking forward to having Mark and Amy, and the three boys to join us for Xmas this year.
We have so many lovely messages and feedback from our blogs each week. Thank you. So, it would be remiss of me not to mention the garden, which I know so many of you also enjoy. The star jasmine has almost finished, while the blue and white plumbago is just bursting into flower. The gardenias are looking a picture, and one of my all-time favourites is the Magnolia, which is all in bud with the first flower right on the top of the tree and too tricky for me to photograph or pick. The roses continue to delight with their beautiful fragrance. I have enjoyed this last week, a vase of gardenias and roses, absolute decadence, on my desk.
What a pleasure John and I enjoyed last Saturday, finally meeting our new neighbours. A delightful young couple and their two daughters. We so enjoyed listening to their successful journey. While John was taken with the wine cellar, Golf Simulator, full-scale Gym and mini golf course, I was in awe of the most amazing veggie garden, thoroughly bird and possum-proof with the most healthy array of every vegetable growing. Their efforts and commitment to achieving their goals are such a credit to them.
I received this beautiful message from Adele Basheer with our new year calendar for 2023 and thought it was such a lovely message to share with each of you - It's so lovely for you to join us using the power of colour, positivity, connection, gratitude and mindfulness to embrace life and shine your light on the world. We believe you deserve a life you love.
So, until next week, take care and stay safe as we wish you the blessings of peace, health and happiness.
Love Annette
