Hello Everyone
Well, a day of celebration in the French household. Our Wedding Anniversary. Another wonderful milestone. We have been married 54 years today.
Someone once said to me on previous Anniversaries that is double a life sentence, Annette. Well, what a life sentence it continues to be. Our wishes are that it continues for many more years. John is a wonderful, loveable guy! Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble for him. Ooops I have to be careful he might read this, and he does seem to get a swollen head when there is recognition around.
I remember another great occasion. We were asked to open the International Seminar one year. We both wrote our speeches independently, and John would not let me see his, so I was a little nervous as to what he might say. Sure enough, I had every reason to be concerned. He told everyone he was the Managing Director of the French Fantastics and that most of the success had come after he took charge of my diary. It meant the diary was never empty, and there was some work commitment each and every day. He conceded the work could be done to fit in with the fun and family commitments, and that was my choice.
The audience loved it, and he pranced around the week-long seminar very happy with himself. It took me quite a while after getting home to regain my position in our business and bring John back to earth. Fun times and great memories and we have many over our many 54 years of marriage.
So now, back to business. There are a couple of important and special days coming up.
October 10th Nutrimetics are promoting World Mental Health Day, and on October 15th, we have Global Hand Washing Day. On World Mental Health Day may I suggest we all reach out to our networks of friends and family on social media and check-in to see if anyone needs support. This year's campaign is about turning challenging negative perceptions and encouraging those challenged to take a more positive view.
Nutrimetics is built on connection and helping other people. By being there simply listening to someone you know who is struggling, you are living our brand values. It is an excellent opportunity for each of us to reach out to everyone and check in on friends, especially those who may have spent many hours alone through these lockdown periods.
To ensure we do not have any more lockdown periods let's all join together and push our Global Handwash Day. I believe the virus can be beaten, and it starts with good hygiene. Nutrimetics are donating $1 from every 500 ml OLC purchase to Look Good Feel Better Charity – the cancer people – so a very worthy cause. So let's promote Save Lives – Wash your hands with OLC of course. It is great then to follow up and nourish the hands with our most favourite hand crème the Hand and Nail Treatment crème.
Wow Wow Wow – hot off the press also today. Nutrimetics have just announced their International Seminar destination for 2021. Where is it? 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, - Australia – InterContinental Hotel on Hayman Island. What a great destination. We certainly have very fond memories of Hayman.
Island the last time we enjoyed the seminar there. It was 2001, and on that occasion, the French Fantastics topped the world and John and I were awarded King and Queen of Seminar.
Jack and Will gave John and I a special voucher for Xmas, and we are thrilled to be going out to dinner tonight to celebrate our Anniversary using the voucher. This is the first time we have been into the city to go to a restaurant since February and the lockdown, so we are looking forward to the evening.
John is hassling me to get ready, so will close for today and until next week wishing you all a happy and healthy week ahead.
