Hello Special People
Well, I have just finished a new IT session with Nutrimetics. The new owners took on the challenge of updating the system, and today was back to school to ensure we are all savvy with their new program. I think most of you are aware by now that IT computers and the social media platform, in general, are not my cup of tea. However, I must congratulate the company for updating. It was certainly needed, and today's course was a great insight before we have the complete changeover. I think I have understood most things, and we have a workbook for future reference.
They say there are five types of people you want to surround yourself with, the inspired, the passionate, the motivated, the grateful and the open-minded. I am sure I fall into some of those categories myself, and I know I have people around me that certainly fit the categories. So, I am sure we will soon get accustomed to these necessary changes and upgrades.
We have had a busy week. We broke the work with a lovely lunch on Sunday at Forest Hill. We quite often go to Café Sorello. We meet the Toowoomba families and have a long lunch catching up on all the family news and sharing what has been happening here in Brisbane.
John enjoyed a pleasant duty yesterday. Mathilda, our only granddaughter, had an interview for Women's College at Queensland University, where her mother attended. John had the honour of being her chauffeur. He was quite thrilled. He said he prepped her all the way. "I could not leave anything to chance." He told me when they eventually arrived home. We were all waiting to hear from her, but they were so long as John had arranged to take her to lunch after the interview. He said, "I had to prep her over lunch as well, so she was ready for the questions from Mum and Dad." Mathilda was very happy and enjoyed her time with Pa. Hard to believe she is ready for University as she was only just born when we moved here to Brisbane.
We are off to the Sunshine coast this weekend. Spending time with friends. A few drinks, yummy meals and plenty of laughs, board games and cards. My two partners, Jan and Sue, are right on the ball, and I am sure we will continue our dominance over the cheeky boys. Oh, dear! He really can't resist and wanted me to mention, if you did not know, the Broncos have won their first two games. I am sure you are all as interested as I am!!!!!!
We will spend Friday lunch catching up with Mark and Amy while they are at Noosa and then travel back to the Sunshine coast after lunch, so we are looking forward to such a fun weekend.
I thought this Daily Reflection was appropriate to finish a week that combined business, pleasure, family and friends. Life Is…..Life is a garden, not a road we enter and exit through the same gate wandering. Where we go matters less than what we notice. Bokonon.
We trust that each of you have enjoyed a good week and also looking forward to special times over the next weekend while we are loving this beautiful autumn weather.
Remember, busy is a choice. Stress is a choice. Joy is a choice.
Sending the blessings of Peace and Joy to each of you.
Love Annette
