Hello Special People
Well, what a crazy house here Yesterday. I am to blame as I just keep doing the ‘add Ons’ and then find how limited time is. The day started with our sandwich run at the Coffee Brigade, followed by a trip to the city in peak hour to a shoe repairer, a quick shop for special bread, exercises at Q.U.T., visitors for lunch, school pick up, a special makeup practice for Leisa and Mathilda's school formal next month and another guest for dinner last night Not sure we had enough time for Happy Hour. We both certainly slept well.
In fact, it has been a busy week all around. We had a wonderful time away with friends at the Sunshine Coast on the weekend. Friends who I worked with in the bank before I was married and friends who were our neighbours in Toowoomba. Both are special couples, and we always look forward to our weekend together. Lots of laughs, yummy food and yep, a wine here and there, along with our card games of the ladies v the men. Not talking about which team came out the winner this weekend.
Monday saw John off to the Cardiologist for his annual checkup. All is well, and he doesn't have to return for another 12 months. It was back to Noosa to catch up with friends from Sydney on Wednesday. A beautiful lunch at Noosa and lots of catching up. We had not seen our friends face to face for five years, so there was plenty of conversation and catching up. As a family, we enjoyed year after year holidays in Noosa together so very special memories.
You won't believe what I am about to tell you. The Bronco's greatest fan, John, will miss the all-important Broncos – Redcliffe match tonight. We are off to the Lions v Melbourne A.F.L. match to sell raffle tickets for the Coffee Brigade. I have told you many times that the Coffee Brigade is the charity that feeds the homeless in Brisbane. They secured the rights to sell the 50-50 raffle at the Lions' first home game. They needed volunteers to do the work, so for any of you joining us at the Lions tonight, please look out for the two best ticket sellers and support the charity. It will certainly be serving a very worthy and much-needed cause.
Numbers on the streets appear to be growing, and today we made 34 loaves of bread ready to be distributed to those in need.
After all the rushing around this week, we have decided we need some RnR time to recover and refill the tanks. So a week at the beach next week should solve that problem. Plenty of rest to catch up.
While it has been a busy week and certainly an extremely busy day, we are so blessed to have these treasured friendships.
A strong friendship does not need daily conversation, does not always need togetherness, as long as the relationship lives in the heart, true friends will never part. This really sums up a very special week for us.
We trust that you and your friends and family have also enjoyed a special week as we send the blessings of peace, health and happiness to each of you.
Love Annette
