Hello Special People, and welcome to the last month of winter – August.
Let's commence our blog today with the wise words from Adele Basheer for August – Joy and Happiness – A beautiful life grows from the moments we create, the moments we love, and the moments we live.
A new month. Another busy week on our home front. Our new Nutrimetics owner, Graeme
Clegg, is arranging special meetings to get to know us all, Mathilda's 17th birthday today, back to exercises and life in general. It is all happening. I
almost forgot we are off to prop the Lions up on Sunday after their shocking
effort last weekend.
Speaking of last weekend, it was a nightmare for John. He went to the Broncos match, and I could
tell as soon as I picked him up who had won. Then the Lions went bad. We have
seen the great change. Last week he was so excited everything was falling into
place for his footy teams. Finals are not too far away, and he was so sure they
would do well. A weekend later, he is not so sure. In fact, he has been a different
person this week, and tonight we start again with the Broncos playing in
Sydney. He will be on Knife's edge as we have Mathilda's Birthday celebration
dinner tonight. He will not be able to watch the game.
I think you will all love the news which will be released at a special evening in Brisbane
on Monday night.
We love the ideas the New Image company is bringing to Nutrimetics. So, stay tuned.
We are off to Mathilda's birthday dinner tonight. Our only granddaughter is now 17. Lots of fond memories will surface tonight. It is always lovely to look back on the children's achievements and special times. I am sure the big brothers will have a few fun stories to add. We are looking forward to a fun night together. We love that special time with all our family.
On the neighbourhood front, the new house alongside of us is getting very close to completion. In fact, the owners have decided they have waited long enough and are moving in tomorrow. Their decision has hastened the works, and there has been plenty happening in the past couple of days. The Tennis court, swimming pool, driveway, electrical work and final touches to the landscaping are all still to be completed. The project has been almost three years in construction. We have watched the demolition of the original house and the massive construction of what is going to be a gorgeous home. It has actually been quite time-consuming as we watched all the heavy equipment, cranes, diggers etc, navigating around the property. We watched each day anxiously, wondering how close they were getting to completion. 6.30 a.m. starts five and sometimes six days a week will soon be over. We look forward to having our new neighbours in residence.
That this Moral: Never Judge fitting to close this week:-
A little girl was holding two apples: her mother asked for one. The girl quickly bit one apple and then the other. Her mother held back her disappointment. Then the girl handed one to her saying: "Here, this is the sweeter one."
Certainly food for thought. Until next week we send peace, health and happiness.
Cheers, Annette
