Hello Special People
Well, while the pace has slowed a little this week in our household in some areas, the email issue continues to dominate.
The New Zealand family are back home, the birthday celebrations are over and still no emails. The workload in the office has doubled with everything so challenging. How effective and quick are computers when all is well, but what a nightmare running a business when there is a hiccup.
I think I could write a book on the different scenarios and stories from Telstra. One department certainly does not talk or communicate with the other. I have spent hours on the phone in front of the computer talking to so many who claim they can fix the issues, only for them to end a two or three-hour session by saying, "I will have to upgrade this to the back end."
Actually, the whole experience has been the biggest learning curve, and I can fully understand why some folks choose the option of highlighting their issues and frustration on Current Affairs. (not that I am thinking of that path)
While I have been struggling with the office issues, John's main issue of the week is that Queensland did not play so well last night. He did, however, come jumping through the door yesterday afternoon after one of his syndicate horses won the Ramornie Handicap at Grafton yesterday. It was a Group Race with substantial prize money. He was so excited and then watched Queensland in the Third Origin to see all the excitement vanish; however, knowing we won the Shield was the bonus.

Yep, life has happened here in Brisbane this week, and the morning in the office has been spent on a more positive note changing email addresses. Our alternative email address is:- annettefrenchnutrimetics@gmail.com . Interestingly, when I called the technician to change our printer to this new address, he confirmed how much work they were doing mopping up from the Telstra big pond. Basically, confirming what the guy at the Telstra store had told us some days ago.
We have been on leave from our Aqua yoga classes for the last 10 days while the pools are being prepared for maintenance in readiness for the spring and summer seasons. It is amazing how our bodies are noticing not having that regular exercise. The gym last week and then again today without any exercise in between was certainly evident with tight joints in our body. We will probably notice it even more tomorrow.
Our coming weekend is relatively quiet, so we will take in a movie and catch up on some reading. Rather nice on these cooler days to snuggle up to watch a movie or have a little 'cat nap'. I must admit we are noticing the cold more this winter and have had the air conditioning on at night more regularly. Our trip to Toowoomba last Friday for Mum's 2nd anniversary reminded us of just how cold those westerly winds are in Toowoomba. It was lovely to see all the council gardens with their seedlings planted, ready for the Carnival of Flowers in September.
We thank you once again for your very kind feedback on our blogs, and it has us realize that as life happens here for us, so many of you can relate in some way to life in your homes. As we share our week with you all, we also love sharing and hearing about your week.
Louise Hay has summed up the week perfectly in this one-liner;- As I say yes to Life, Life says yes to me.

Sending the blessings of peace, health and happiness to each of you.
Stay warm – Love Annette.
