Hello Special People
It has been another mixed week in the French household.
Our stylist did an amazing job making the house picture-perfect and ready for the photos to be taken the next day. While each room was individualized, she really brought them to life with her special touches and yet the different colours flowed beautifully through the house.
The photographer took hours inside the house but when he was ready to fly the Drone for the overhead shots the rain came. So, he will be back today. He was so particular and professional, so we look forward to the results. The rain was a shame as he said he would have had everything ready today, but now we are waiting for tomorrow. Our real estate agent was so disappointed. Had the photos been ready today, he would have been ready to do an open house on Saturday. Now, the first will be a VIP evening on Thursday. Guess the reality that we are selling has really come home.
I am excited but I did shed a few tears this week with all the activity. I really love our home, and I will miss so many aspects. Deep down, I know we have reached the stage where it has become hard to manage. Of course, we do not need the big house and garden with only the two of us. I also feel excited about the move. It will be so nice down by the river, and I know John can’t wait for the move to happen.
John always complains about how many decorative pillows are on our bed, so now there are not only extra pillows but additional covers. I joked with him to say the bed looked so great that he would have to sleep on the floor, so we kept it looking presented the way the stylist had it.
I will have Kat pop up a couple of amateur photos and will send the link next week if you would love to take a walk through.
We had some encouraging news this week that the new building may be finished in July. That is the new forecast from the builders who are now working six days a week. We can see big improvements on our weekly visit.
So that's the good news this week. My body is the different news. With all the extra activity in the garden, laying lawns and, adding new bark, etc, I have done some damage to my right side. Not liking the doctors, I took a long while to succumb to agreeing to a doctor's visit. That done. It was off for a CAT scan, and I am back at the doctor's this afternoon for the results. I'm not looking forward to that, but I know I will get the best treatment. There have been a few restless nights leading into today. The pain was so severe last night I almost succumbed to going to the Emergency Department at St Andrew's. John was dressed and ready to go, but then he said, "Do you think you could see the night through, and we will have results tomorrow?" I quickly agreed, as the thought of a hospital just terrifies me. Yep, there have been a few tears as well. Pain is not nice, and I can't wait to see today's recommendations.
Flipside – no exercises this morning. Not sure which I would prefer. Actually, I think even the exercises would be better than this silly side.
Mathilda heads off to O Week at the University next week. It is a fun week for the new students, but as we know, even fun things can go a little overboard. She will be in our prayers this week. She is very sensible, and I am sure she will look after herself.
A beautiful day in Brisbane as I write to you. Perfect for the Drone to fly over the house for the necessary shots to finalize the photo shoot. I will keep you posted. We send the blessings of health and happiness to each of you until next week.
Take care.
Love Annette
