Hello Everyone, and welcome to February.
This month, I listen to my body's messages and support it in creating vibrant health. When I feel tired, I rest, I exercise in ways that are fun, and I choose nourishing foods and beverages. Most importantly, I remember that every cell in my body responds to every thought I think, so I choose positive thoughts of self-love. Louise Hay
Where did January go?
It is going to be a super quick year if every month slips by like January. It has been so hot here in Brisbane. The air con is working overtime, and we have the ceiling fan overhead every night. As you already know, I can’t stand the heat, and John finds me complaining about how wet my hair is several times a day. Mind you, I don't get much sympathy. He thinks it is funny. The warm weather combined with a little rain does wonders for the garden. In fact, the hedges are out of control. John has been out of action with a slow-healing wound on his leg, and we are relying on a guy we call on when John can't keep up. Of course, our man is busy, but hopefully, he can fit us in this week.
I mentioned last week our grandson Will's podcasts. They are so interesting, and I love to share them with you all. This week they interviewed James Fielding, the CEO of Audeara and a member of the Courier-Mail Top 20 Under 40 Entrepreneurs. He has such an interesting background, from medicine and being a surgeon to his current field of impaired hearing. His story is so amazing, and it is marvellous where life takes people. We can all look back and reflect on our life journey with interest.
As we commence 2023, I am amazed at how so many people are into exercise. The Aqua Yoga classes have doubled in size. Guess the pool is so much more inviting in the summer months. I really enjoy the exercise in the pool so much more than in the gym. I still struggle in this area.
On a social note, we enjoyed a special evening at the Manly Boat House for our daughter’s birthday last Saturday. We joined Leisa, Craig and the family for such a lovely night down by the water, which always delivers a lovely sea breeze. I look forward to encouraging John to take the drive out there again for lunch. It is such a beautiful spot looking out over the bay.
With these hot days and even hotter evenings, we are enjoying movies and the different series on Netflix. We have just finished watching the series Godless. While it is a nice series, there were lots of killings, but it did have a lovely storyline, and the series was not stretched out too far. The ending was different to my anticipation, but that always adds to the plot. We enjoy that each session is about an hour, just long enough at night. I would love to hear what series you have all been enjoying.
February is shaping up as a really busy month here in our household. Quite a few routine specialist appointments for both of us, and we have our company conference at the Gold Coast mid-month for four days. Then month's end, John and I are joining my sisters and husbands for a weekend up at Bunya mountains. We enjoy our time together, and I am sure there will be plenty of games of Rummy O on the table.
We continue to thank you for your lovely feedback and comments on our blogs as we share our week with you all.
Until next week, take care and stay cool—great weather for those cold water showers that are so good for us.
Sending the blessings of peace, health and happiness to each of you and your loved ones.
