Hello Special People
I guess, like ourselves, you are finding it difficult to acknowledge that we are almost through April. Not sure where this month has flown. How has your week been?
Not sure what I thought of the weather this week. The wind and scattered showers do not go over too well. On Monday, my washing got caught. I had a line full of sheets and towels, the whole works on the line. I was busy in the office and did not notice what was happening outside. John came home and said that was a heavy shower, and like a shot, I was out of the office trying to save the washing. I could not believe it. I had checked the forecast, and it read wind but no indication of rain. So, the weather bureau has gone down, in my estimation. I do not enjoy wet washing.
We are very excited that Mark and Amy arrived back in Brisbane on Tuesday. We are looking forward to lots of fun times together, starting with the Broncos game for the boys on Friday night, and Amy and I will enjoy a quiet dinner together. I am especially looking forward to Mother's Day and being able to celebrate with them. It has been a long, long time since Mark has been face-to-face with me on this special day.
All the family is looking forward to the weekend. Our only granddaughter, Mathilda, has her school formal on Saturday night. She has everything ready to go for the formal, along with a new outfit for the after-formal party. It will be a big occasion. Leisa is hosting the pre-formal function at her place, and John and I have been invited to help. John will have driving duties ferrying all the guests down the driveway, and I am not sure what I will be doing at this stage. I may have to be multi-tasked as I know there will be loads to do. We will share some photos with you next week and all the fun happenings. When her two brothers had their formals, they were great events, and I know Leisa will ensure Saturday will be super special for Mathilda.
As I sit to type this blog, I am reflecting on today. We were up at 5 am to be at the Coffee Brigade for sandwich making. We had 30 loaves to do, and John and I had QUT exercise appointments at 8a.m., so we wanted to make sure we pulled our weight with the sandwich makers before we took off to the gym. 9-9.30 breakfast, and then it was getting ready for an appointment at the doctors for our annual Flu injection. From there, it was a trip to the hairdresser. In fact, I have just arrived home at 3.15 pm for lunch. Then to the office to catch up on the day's activities and later onto my favourite part of the day, relaxing and watching a movie. I wonder why I am tired at night!!!
So, for us, an exciting weekend ahead with grandparent duties with the Formal. So, grandparents will always be a little bit parent, a little bit teacher and a little bit best friend. They are so precious these grandchildren. They have and continue to give us so much love and happiness.

Thank you once again to so many of you for your lovely feedback as we share our week with you all, and we send our blessings for peace, health and happiness to each of you and your loved ones.
Love Annette x
