Hello Everyone
I thought I would share the following with you all today:-
Wisdom is the reward you get for a lifetime of listening when you’d have preferred to talk. (Doug Larson)
Life is like a library owned by an author. In it are a few books, which he wrote himself, but most of them were written for him. Harry Emerson Fosdick
Our minds have multitudes of stored memories, knowledge, and skills. Some of these are the results of living and learning, but most are information given to us by others.
Our family, friends, co-workers, teachers, and children are the greatest sources for our storehouses of information.
Most of our learning comes from others. Teachers give us much in the way of facts. Our family instructs us in morals. Friends show us different personalities and lifestyles. Our children reflect on what we've taught them and give us their views of the world.
All the information we have is valuable to our growth and maturity. Every person we meet, each place we visit, and everything we try contribute to our library of knowledge and experience. At times we may borrow from what is on our shelves, but we must keep our shelves stocked with fresh material. Each night we can write a new volume based on the day's experiences.
After reading this, I reflected on what valuable contribution I make to my library of knowledge and experience each day.
I can certainly relate our knowledge and experience to last weekend. John and I went to assist a new lady commencing her Nutrimetics career at a local Fund Raising/Charity market. It was something I had not done for a long time. I loved being able to pass on my wisdom and experiences to support someone else's growth. This lady has all the qualities to climb the Nutrimetics ladder very quickly.
I promised last week some photos of Mathilda, our granddaughter's School Formal. She certainly looked beautiful. It was such a busy day. She had a lovely evening but has not been well all this week with the flu. Her partner, Doug, arrived with the divine bunch of flowers she is holding in the photo. The group gathered at Leisa's for the pre-formal function and were all so excited and loved heading off in the stretch limo.
Friday night at the footy with Mark was great (even though the Broncos lost). Amy and I enjoyed a quiet evening at home with yummy food and then were entertained watching 40000 fans exit the stadium after the match. Their unit is so close to Suncorp Stadium. The precision of 60+ buses and trains etc saw the crowds fully dispersed within the hour. We love having them home with us, so there will be lots more exciting outings in the future.
We had a busy session at the gym this morning, so now looking forward to our monthly massage this afternoon. Yes, life is busy, and we give thanks each day for our health and happiness. We trust that you have also enjoyed a busy week with health and happiness.
Let’s close today with the wise message for May from Adele Basheer - Create a Life to Love – Pour love into what you do, and you will always be doing something you love.
Take care, have fun and enjoy the best week – Love Annette x
