Hello Special People
I know you may have wondered why there has been no blog these last couple of weeks and how we have missed our Angel. I am so pleased to let you all know our greatest blessing for this week's blog is that we have our social media Angel, Kat, back and miraculously covering from a massive pulmonary embolism. Our prayers have been answered. While there is still more ground for her recovery, we are so appreciative and grateful that she is feeling well enough to resume work with us so we can keep in touch.
Adele Basheer sends us this April message to ponder;- “You were not born to hide within the shadows of yourself, but to glow in all your potential.”
I have mentioned previously how I love Autumn—opening the windows in the morning and feeling the freshness in the air. Here in Brisbane, it has been a drying week as well. We had so much rain over the Easter period. I am so glad to see the beautiful sunny days, and our lawn and garden are certainly appreciating the sunshine. It's nice to have rain, but perhaps having it spread out is ideal. While we had some lovely days over Easter, we had lots of rain almost every night.
This week, we continue the gifts of appreciation and gratitude. It has been a continued week of appointments for us. John had his annual specialist appointments, all with great results, which we really appreciated. We are so blessed and so grateful to have such talented people looking after us and ensuring we maintain good health.
Yes, the FB post “We interrupt this marriage to bring you Football Season" continues in relevance. Yep, the Footy season is in full swing. He is off to the Broncos Rugby game tonight. I could hear the chatter of him talking to himself and to the referee when he disagreed with the decision as he was watching the Lions AFL match last night.
As we have not touched base since Easter, we trust you each enjoyed a lovely Easter break. We were very quiet here. Craig and Leisa were still in America, so we had the pleasure of being in the company of the grown-up grandchildren. Violet the dachshund was a different story. She was very spoilt, and John was on duty to ensure she was fed each day, but she let all the neighbours know she was lonely – 'home alone," which was really not the case. We did enjoy a drive to our favourite café at Forest Hill to catch up with the family for the Easter Celebration. We love our get-togethers with lots of laughs as we share stories and reflect on old times.
I guess the week reminds me to find something in every day that I can genuinely be grateful for. Trust that life is good. Trust and gratitude are sufficient.
Let’s close this week with Louise's Autumn message: I am in total harmony with my environment: the sun, the moon, the winds, the rain, and the earth.
We thank you once again for all your lovely feedback as we share our week with you all, and we send you blessings of health and happiness for the coming week.
Love Annette x
