Hello Special People.
Oh dear, this rain just keeps on a coming down….
We needed to change the time for our monthly massage today. While we loved seeing the city light up after dark, we certainly didn't enjoy the drive home in the pouring rain with the car lights. I think we were both very happy to be off the road and inside our beautiful home in the warm and dry. We are certainly blessed, and times like this it highlights just how fortunate we are. I can't think of anything worse than not having a home and a warm bed on these wet, cold nights.
It has teemed down here in Brisbane today. John is worried about the Magic Round and his precious Lang Park - I have assured him the games will all be played, and Lang Park will survive. (funny what men worry about, hey?)
We hope you all enjoyed cuddles and lots of spoiling last weekend for Mother’s Day…..at least this year, we could catch up with family without massive Covid restrictions – we hope you all stayed safe and enjoyed all the loving! I must admit I was looked after exceptionally well. I mentioned last week John promised the Lion's Game was part of his package of treats for the special day. Well, I did think he was joking, but he wasn't. So, I started Mother’s Day with 20000 other fans at the Lion's Game. We did enjoy a special dinner on the way, and we did celebrate after the big win. Guess I cannot complain. In fact, I enjoyed the evening. Sunday was so special. Brunch with the Aussie family and then through the day, a long session on FaceTime with the New Zealanders. All in all, a beautiful weekend.
The house is full of beautiful flowers and some gorgeous presents. To finish the weekend, Jack and Will arrived on Sunday with a very special bottle of my favourite Prosecco for me to enjoy. This went into the cellar, and I will bring it out on our next special occasion.
While I don’t always share product info on our weekly blogs, it would be remiss of me not to mention two of my very favourite products coming out in our May/June Glow in every drop brochure. I love this time of the year to enjoy yummy homemade soup, and tonight we have just enjoyed a plate of delicious red cabbage soup. I have loved experimenting with different types of soups and find Mr Google has some amazing recipes.
