Hello Special People "All that I am, or ever hope to be, I owe to my Angel Mother" Abraham Lincoln.
As we welcome May, we celebrate Mother’s Day. What a special occasion. We mothers play such an important role for such a long part of our lives, and nothing is more rewarding. We commence with our own children, and then we move on to our gorgeous grandchildren.
When we see mothers with their babies on our walking track, I still remark what little miracles each baby is. So special – I say to John. Grandchildren are a 'gift from God". We devout our lives to them. We watch them grow, guide them through their school days, mature into adults and begin their own families.
I have been invited to Brunch to commence this special day, although John tells me he is kicking off Mother's Day for me by taking me to the Lions game on Saturday night. (Don't you love your husband of 55 years!!!!!)
I never thought I would say I have had enough rain. Quite unusual, isn't it? We are normally begging for more rain, but with the forecast predicting rain every day next week, I am putting my hand up and saying we have had enough. Funny, isn't it? Here I am talking bout something I can't control. How often do we do that in life?
So many things crop up that concern us, but when we really sit down and think about it, many of them are out of our control, and we are simply wasting our time even considering them. I have learnt to say, "Leave it and get on with your life."
And so most times I do. In fact, a couple of weeks ago, I decided a few things needed attention in the house. You know, just to upgrade a little and make everything new again. So, I had my trusty Interior Decorator over and what beautiful ideas he has for so many things in the house. I will be waiting for his final summary and ideas. It will be our next exciting chapter. Maybe some will be new, but I think most will be a sharp rejuvenation of what we have already. I guess the next step will be choosing fabrics etc, for recovers, and I am very excited about that. More news in the coming weeks on the interior facelift.
It was back to exercises this week. Imagine how I felt after having two weeks off, which included the social side of Easter celebrations. So many times, I have told you how I don't enjoy it, but perseverance is a must. While I am sore and sorry for a couple of days, I know it can only get better, and the body needs it. Today we are back in the pool for our Aqua Yoga (I can't wait for this). I love this exercise and would go every day if the class was available. We have moved to an indoor heated pool for the cooler month, so looking forward to seeing the new set-up.
Let's close for this week with the lovely message from Adele Basheer for May – Bloom – Whatever grows in the corner of your mind, grows also in your life. In the garden of your dreams, anything is possible.
Sending each of you the blessings for the most special Mother's Day weekend of peace, health and happiness.
Enjoy these treasured times with your loved ones.
Cheers Annette
