Hello Special People
Well, after the week we just had, I thought I deserved this message from Louise Hay this morning – "I deserve to have personal happiness, and I accept it now."
What a frustrating week!
They say we cannot live without computers, and after this week, I am sure they are right. Really it is not the Computer. It is just my Emails. I have been without emails since Sunday; Telstra told me it would take 3 to 5 days to remedy the problem. The 3 days have passed, so I am obviously on the 5 days. Frustrating is not the word. Our business is so reliant on the email system. No doubt some of you would have been through it at some time. We cannot acknowledge receipt of mail, and folk are wondering why there is no reply. To top off the situation, someone rang claiming they were Telstra, but fortunately, I questioned them for identification and immediately found out they could not answer my questions. However, they did know my email was down. We do have to be very careful. It does have us questioning how they can get into our systems.
So, it has been an on-edge week with the phone to my ear day and night, waiting, waiting, waiting. Maybe we will see the end by tomorrow, and Telstra will be back in favour.
With a little extra time to spare from the Computer, I have made myself busy in the kitchen. It is soup weather, and I just love the thought of soup to warm the body. We loved our beetroot, ginger and coconut milk soup, and the cauliflower, sweet potato and hummus soup so much they have been a repeat. Having the soups prepared in the refrigerator makes the chef's job a little easier in the evening. He just heats up a saucepan of soup and cooks some yummy toast. He is pleased to have these on hand. He applies his master chef skills with a dab of cream or yoghurt in the middle of the soup so proudly and thinks he is quite a professional.
We apologise it is not our happiest blog today, but like all families, 'life happens'; for us, this has been our week. I must admit I have not forgotten my attitude of gratitude for the things that have been kind to us this week, and the most important being we are both well and healthy.
The most relevant reason we are sharing this news of our emails with you all is that if you have forwarded orders etc, via email since Sunday, we have not received them. Our main concern here is that the company are moving to our new IT system on 1st July and it does not have the capability to back order at the reduced catalogue prices so please give us a call or send us a text and we will return your call.
The weather here in Brisbane has been so beautiful. Such clear blue skies, and we did take the opportunity on Sunday to take a drive to the strawberry farm at Rochedale – (the most delicious, sweet strawberries) and then onto Manly Boat Club for a yummy lunch. This did counteract thinking of computers and emails for the afternoon.
The message to oneself to close today – “Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations.”
Sending the blessings of peace, health and happiness to each of you. Take care and stay warm.
Love Annette
