Hello Special People
As we welcome Autumn and March, I share with you all the lovely message from Adele Basheer – Love is Life. It's love that heals and love that connects. It's love that forgives and Love that forgets. It's love that lights the way.
I had a beautiful friend who told me that her mother always told her that love heals all. I must admit that I have called on those three words many, many times.
As I pen the blog each week wondering what we will share of interest to you all, in most cases our week is shared with the love of our family and friends.
We have had a rather quiet week. After another unsuccessful trip to Fernvale for our organic Bowen mangoes, we have had to resign ourselves to the fact that the mango season has finished.
Today, after our session at QUT, we look forward to our monthly massage. It is amazing how a change in attitude can change the way I went off to exercise this morning. A good chat to myself – "This is not about you, Annette; it is supporting and assisting a new student with her studies." She was so excited this morning about the new program she wants me to commence. The students have to identify how far they can extend us. They are continually testing and increasing the workload. I am striving to ensure my young student gets a really good start to her year with good marks for her assignment.
John continues enjoying our trips to the Archer Brewery I mentioned last week. We find it our relaxing venue while our agent is conducting our Open House. I love the ginger beer while John enjoyed the recently awarded International winning beer. Our friend, the brewer, was so excited last week at Yoga to tell us the exciting news that one of his beers had been awarded the international beer for 2024—certainly an amazing achievement to win an International award like this. The brewery conducts a fun Trivia evening each Wednesday, and we are encouraging our grandchildren to join us one evening. We would definitely require their knowledge to join in the fun.
Our daughter Leisa and husband Craig are gearing up for their trip to New York and Boston later this month. Craig has a work Conference in New York, and afterwards, they are heading to Boston to visit Leisa's cousin Megan and family who live there. They will have a great time. Leisa loves New York, so I am sure she will have no trouble filling in the days Craig is at the conference.
Our eldest grandson, Jack, experienced his real taste of law on his second day as a new graduate. He was having office photos taken with all the graduates on the same day. Monday evening, he was over with his new white shirt to be ironed, ready for the photos. Tuesday morning, he was all dressed in his suit and new shirt. When he arrived at the office, his senior people met him with, "That's great you are in your suit, Jack, as we are off to Court." So, two days into being a real lawyer, he found himself in the Courtroom. He was all smiles when he was telling us on Tuesday evening. He is loving his new position and will be an excellent lawyer. His ability to retain facts and information along with his desire to research will serve him well.
When I reflected on our week, the daily reflection from Liane Cordes seemed appropriate: All of us have unique talents and gifts. No obstacle, be it physical, mental, or emotional, has the power to destroy our innate creative energies.
Believing this fully is difficult at times. But it is true. What each of us can contribute to the world is unlike every other contribution. Each talent is slightly different from every other talent. And they are all needed. We are all needed.
The best things in life are the people we love, the place we’ve been and the memories we make along the way.
Until next week be kind to you. In a world where you can be anything…be kind.
Sending love
Annette x
