Hello Special People
We are again enjoying some beautiful rain here in Brisbane as I type this letter. We had beautiful rain overnight, and the garden and lawns look so beautiful. I hope you are all enjoying the same. Looking out the kitchen window is inspiring and brings a smile to what we have achieved in the garden and what we have contributed towards achieving these rewarding results.
I guess when you look at words inspiring, achieving and contribution, you can add them to your life story. So many of us have extraordinary stories, our greatest adventure and most memorable experience. They are the 'no regrets' moments that have shaped our lives. I am sure as you reflect, you are still fascinated by those special moments. Of course, to achieve, you had to contribute. There are no 'free lunches, as the saying goes. Life is all about contributing. And when we do, we are rewarded, and we are inspired to continue contributing. I am a big believer that what you put into life is what you get back. I instilled this into Leisa and Mark when they were growing up, and now, I take each opportunity to do the same to our grandchildren. I must admit I am proudly seeing rewarding results.
Interestingly, I overheard John talking to Mathilda this week as she was getting into the car going to netball trials. First of all, he wished her luck, but on the spur of the moment, he wheeled around, opened her door and said, "Hey Mathilda, in sport, you make your own luck so keep your mind engaged and make sure you keep your eye on the ball." Maybe tough love, but it is true. Not only in sport but also in life. If you want to achieve something – concentrate on that goal and never take your eye off the steps you are taking to the rewarding result.
We all have so much to offer, and by helping each other achieve, we will be contributing towards a far better world.
Last week, I promised you that I would keep you posted on our latest venture – the Aqua Yoga. Well, we headed off last Friday to join the afternoon class. Friday was extremely hot, so hopping into the cool saltwater pool was so refreshing. While I have previously attended many indoor yoga classes, this was a whole new experience. I could not keep my feet on the base of the pool and when we needed to work our hands with the dumbbells moving forward in a circle found myself marking time in the one spot or else going backwards. So, our Aqua yoga requires lots of improvement, but we are still looking forward to a second class this Friday.
While I commenced typing this blog with it raining and loved waking last night hearing the consistent rain knowing all the benefits to the garden, it is also beautiful this afternoon to see the sun shining again. How blessed are we all to be living in this amazing country, and how easy is it each morning to wake to taking time to show our gratitude?
I thought I would share an inspiration card from my beautiful Intrinsic Intuition cards from Adele Basheer – this is what I choose for today – Stretch – Sometimes, you need to take the risk of uncertainty in order to discover the thrill of the spectacular. I love these beautiful cards and the special messages.
As I close for today, I send the blessings of peace, health and happiness and trust that each of you are well and happy.
Until next week
Love Annette
