Hello Special People
I can’t make up my mind if it is starting to get warmer or not.
At the start of the week, I felt that winter was starting to move on, but today in Brisbane, we are certainly back to winter. I guess it is the cold from down south where snow and ice are returning. I just must keep the winter woollies on standby for a couple more weeks.
Let's keep positive and take it "One day at a Time." How many times have I heard that saying? In fact, I would say it has played a very important part in my life, particularly since I have had my own business. I have reflected on these wise words so many times and I have passed them onto so many in our training areas. You can't go back to yesterday, and we can't tell what is going to happen tomorrow so why wouldn't we want to make the most of today? I know John is highlighting each day after what happened to the Broncos last week. "From 4th to 8th in one weekend", he moaned on Monday. Mind you, he is off to watch them again this week. His motto is One Game at a Time.
Taking one day at a time is made easier with a little planning. You have the choice, do you want to challenge the day with small steps, or do you want to hit the ground running? I remember when I first decided Nutrimetics was for us I would hit the ground running. I had to. We needed another car, and at the time, funds were quite limited. The car came quite quickly, and the tight family situation was over. But it was also the start. I have never looked back. Sure, there were times when I took the step-by-step approach, but I was always determined to be moving forward. There have certainly been many long days, but the rewards have always followed. So, I will always be thankful to those who led me to those wise words “One day at a Time.”
“The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time", Abraham Lincoln.
I have just returned from three days away with our daughter Leisa where we travelled to Talwood to support The Diamond Hunter Talwood Pink Ladies Day 2022 by Toowoomba Hospital Foundation. The fund-raising efforts ensure a local Breast Cancer nurse in the local area. We have not been able to attend this event since 2020 because of covid. The event was previously held at Wengallon. Talwood is a tiny country town between Goondiwindi and St George and the event this year was held on the showground's oval. The attached photos will give you an idea of how they transform the oval into the most amazing event. I loved our special mother and daughter time together for the three days. While Leisa is a pediatric OT by day, she loves fashion and her label "I love that necklace" is extremely well received by all the country ladies. The atmosphere on the day warms your heart with everyone willing to contribute to the day's success for such a worthwhile cause.
With my days away this week time seems to have flown even more quickly and I trust that you and your loved ones have also enjoyed a happy and peaceful week.
Let’s close this week’s blog with the beautiful message from Louise Hay – The more grateful I am, the more good experiences float my way.
Love Annette x
