Hello Special People
Let's welcome April with the beautiful message from Louise Hay – I am ready to accept the truth of my deservingness and receive all the good that Life has to offer. I express appreciation for the beauty and abundance I receive every day, recognizing that gratitude is just another expression of love. As I love Life more and more, I experience so many instances of Life loving and supporting me too!
Well, are you all ready for Easter? John and I have decided to have a quiet one. We have been so busy throughout March. So, it is a stay-at-home Easter. In fact, very, very quiet. All the family from next door are away in Yamba, and our NZ family returned home earlier this week. We are having Easter Sunday with my sisters and their husbands, and John is hoping he can convince me to go to the races on Saturday, but the remainder is resting time. I am sure Netflix will be well used, and I have a great book sitting on my desk waiting to be read. John will be watching football on his phone, so I will be able to select what I love on Netflix and sit back and enjoy.
I have just been talking to our grandson Will. He is off to do another Uni Exam. I found it hard to believe the Uni would be having exams on the Thursday afternoon before Easter. Pretty tough, but as Will said, having them over before Easter will be great. I am sure he will be out for a relaxing time tonight. He and Jack leave for Yamba in the morning. Mathilda and Leisa are already in Yamba and are in the preparation stages for Mathilda's Pre-Formal Party, which is at her place, ensuring all is in readiness in this department. School Formals certainly create a lot more attention today than when our children were going through school.
Amazing how the little things bring us so much joy and happiness. I have had such a great day. I was able to go shopping, and while it was only for fruit and groceries, I really enjoyed getting dressed up with makeup and the eye shadows for the outing. The shopping is John's domain, but we needed a few special things for Sunday's lunch, so I decided to go along. It was so nice to be out of the office, and I was able to treat myself to some gorgeous roses as a result of the kind service from one of the staff at the supermarket (he checked the daily boxed delivery to find just the roses I was wanting) so will have Kat pop up a photo. I just love the fresh flowers in the house and having time to arrange and enjoy them.
Even afternoon tea was a decadent treat today with Hot Cross buns from our favourite bakery. Something I would not normally indulge in, but it would not be Easter without enjoying Hot Cross Buns!! John was very kind going to the bakery first thing this morning.
As we discuss those little things that bring us so much joy and happiness, kindness certainly comes to the fore. Kindness is the one thing we can all give that costs nothing and yet means the world to someone. And, let's be honest, we could all be a little kinder to each other, to ourselves, and to strangers, right? But where do we start? How can we learn to be more empathetic, and what are some of the everyday ways we can all give back? Certainly, food for thought.
As we commenced with Louise Hay this week, let’s close with Adele Basheers' message for April –The Gratitude Glow - Happiness begins with our gladness. By focusing on our haves, our have-nots slowly seem to disappear.
We send the blessings of this special festive season of Easter – take care and stay safe if travelling on the roads.
Love Annette x
