Hello Everyone
I hope you have enjoyed a lovely week and weekend and especially this beautiful steady rain. The garden is loving it and looking so beautiful and green.
I have just been reading about the importance of connecting. How important is it that we stay connected? I have spoken about this so many times during our lockdown, how wonderful the internet was and how we could continue our connections with family, friends, and clients and, in fact, the whole of the outside world. Ask yourself how many new friends you made during the lockdown. I am sure those of you in business would have found new clients.

Now I am looking forward to being able to connect with our family members overseas. I have vouchers on the ready for a trip to NZ to see our beautiful grandchildren over there.
Johnny, Mark's eldest, is in his second year of high school, and that tells how long it has been since we were able to travel.
Sure we have connected on a weekly basis, but it does not equate to a face to face connection. There is a positive story in the press this morning so let's keep our fingers crossed that overseas travel is just around the corner. Maybe it could be an Easter present for all of us, and we could see Mark and his family in Brisbane for a few days. So like many things connecting can be a two-way street.
Speaking of connecting and travelling, I think you will agree it will blossom once we all have the important vaccine. What a difference the vaccine is already making to the whole world. Thankfully less number is dying, and as each country gets safer, we will see a big difference in the travel opportunities. I agree long haul flights will be a little while off, but I can see a positive outlook for places closer to Australia.
Last Thursday, we enjoyed our first face to face connection with our Nutri peers from around the area and Sydney with our first Leadership meeting for over 12 months. While we have been holding Zoom meetings on a regular basis over this period, It was certainly fun to catch up with everyone in person.

How good has all the lovely rain we have had in the past couple of weeks been? I feel for those of you who have had a little too much. The ground is quite squelchy at home here, but that aside the garden is looking in top order. John is laughing; about a month ago, he decided to buy a rain gauge. Now he is running out each morning to see how much rain we have had. Could not have timed it better he is commenting. I think he is finding the conversion from MLS to inches a little interesting. Yep, a case of the old brain has to get back to work.
So until next week, take care, stay safe, healthy and happy.
Cheers Annette
