Hello Special People
I love this quote to commence our blog this week "There is no reason not to follow your heart.” Steve Jobs
How are you feeling with this constant rain? All the pavers and bricks outside the house seem to be turning green/black. John is going to have a week of blasting to get the bricks and retaining walls back to some form of natural colour. When we walk on the grass, the mud just seems to ooze through your toes, so I guess we are looking forward to the weekend (even though a very cold spell is predicted) to having everything commence to dry out.
I did something I rarely do this week and went with John on a delivery run. He usually sneaks out while I am busy in the office. I have to admit I am never really eager to go, but yesterday I thought why not. The sun was beckoning. It was so lovely to be out in the sunshine. So yes, I did enjoy the outing and especially our lovely lunch at a very nice place at Shorncliffe overlooking the water. We then took a drive through some of the new estates at Newport. The Sandgate, Shorncliffe and Redcliffe areas are certainly booming. Newport looks quite special. John tells me it's because the new NRL team, the Dolphins, are based at Redcliffe. He predicts the population will double with Dolphin fans flocking to the area. Not sure that will happen, but I did enjoy the day out, and perhaps I should go with him more often.
I mentioned a few weeks ago how we were ready to update a few things around the house. Well, Step 2 was this week. Our friend and interior decorator Cliff was back this week with his suggestions. He came with a gathering of cloths for recovering lounges and chairs and then suggested we look at his range of furniture. John was not all that excited about the suggestion to have the lounge (which he says he is yet to sit in), recovered. So yes, things are on the move, and I am sure we will see lounges and chairs moving out to get recovered in the near future. Cliff assisted us immensely when we moved into our house here in Brisbane, and we loved what he was able to transform, so we are excited about our new venture.
Our exercise program continues, and fortunately only one session this week at the QUT gym along with our two aqua yoga sessions. Like most of you, while we have had so much rain, it has been difficult to go walking anywhere. We do have a lot of areas here in Brisbane where the constant rain has caused minor flooding again, so we are grateful for our indoor sessions.
We did mention earlier this month the zero VIP joining opportunity the company have released for the month of May to support the 50th Anniversary of Nutrimetics NZ, and as we still have a week to go, if this is something that may interest you to be able to order your beautiful products directly online with the company, please let me know.
While we love to keep in touch and share our week with you all, we also love hearing from so many of you about what is happening in your part of the world eachweek. So please keep in touch as we love hearing from you.
Until next week keep dry, stay safe and take care.
Love Annette
