Hello Special People
Some thoughts from Jack Cranfield to ponder to commence today’s blog;- " You only have control over three things in your life. The thoughts you think, the images you visualize and the actions you take."

I am sure I mentioned last week that I was looking forward to a quiet week. Maybe I should never anticipate. We have had a broken leg, a bout of tonsillitis, and, of course, the Lions having us on the edge of our seats while they became panicked stricken in the fourth quarter of their match on Saturday.
The tonsillitis came first. Jack, our eldest grandson, asked to be picked up from work on Thursday night. He looked terrible. Fever was raging, and he just could not get warm. He turned the aircon in the car up to 28, and it was still shaking. We arranged some meds, and on Friday, he claimed he was feeling better and went off to a Touch Football Carnival at the Gold Coast. Of course, he was not right and eventually had a five-hour session in an emergency with an IV to get his temperature back to normal.
The Lions match came next, and we were so excited to see them playing so well and building up a healthy lead, only to see them in trouble in the fourth quarter. Thank goodness they hung on. I don't think John could have handled another defeat, particularly after losing by one the week before.

We came home to learn Mathilda's boyfriend from Grammar had broken 7 bones in his foot in a school rugby match that afternoon. Poor Doug has been in hospital all week, and his rugby season is over. Not exactly how he wanted to finish year 12.
I thought I might brighten the week a little by dragging John along to the Barbie movie. Ryan Gosling is a bit of a favourite. It was fun but not really our type of movie. There were no complaints, but I could tell John thought it was a waste of time. Not that he saw too much, as he enjoyed an afternoon 'cat nap' for most of the movie.

So, I guess my message from this week is to take one day at a time. It is nice to think the days ahead will be peaceful, but as this past week turned out, you can never tell. I guess I have to be thankful that all the drama ended peacefully and those not well or injured will recover fully. Of course, while unpredictable, the Lions will find their own way. I can't help them, but I will continue supporting them, as loyal supporters do.
We had an early morning start this morning, making our sandwiches with the Coffee Brigade and off for our monthly massage this afternoon, which we are so looking forward to. QUT is on leave this week, so we have enjoyed the day off from exercise, which I love. Our aqua yoga is back in full swing again, and I find it so much more pleasant.

Like yourselves, life happens here as well – as the wise Albert Einstein says –“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
We send our blessings to each of you to enjoy the happiest week ahead.
Love Annette
