Hello Special People
While we endeavour to share interesting stories each week, it would be remiss of me this week not to include the company promotion and the opportunity to be able to give back to those finding things a challenge at the moment.
Orders can be purchased and delivered personally. If you would prefer, you can go online and place your orders and have the packs sent to me, and I have an avenue through the church to ensure they go to someone in need.
It is great to see some beautiful bright sunshine this week. The clear sky puts a smile on our faces, but we must not forget those who are in trouble. Folk are commencing the clean up of their lives. Even here, where we live, we can see devastation just a couple of blocks away.
I think about the devastation. What went through their minds as the rain tumbled down? I guess there was fear and, at times, anger coupled with uncertainty. And rightly so. Many of the folk had been through this situation before. But from that fear and anger comes their pride, courage, and determination. I guess they replace their judgement with acceptance and began to show compassion for each other. For me, it draws out the greatness we all possess. It shows the love we have for each other.
There are many who will be relying on help, and they will never forget those who came. New friendships will develop and be long lasting. So, we can look forward. The road may be long for some, but I believe there will always be love and help around the corner.
Some may look back and think about the fear and anger. How they were tools of destruction but from tolerance, kindness, patience, courtesy and love and in the end, I am sure there will be some humour. These are the tools we use so often to overcome life situations. For many of us, it has improved our lives and the lives of so many around us.
This one word sums it all up – Endurance:-
"I don't know you, But I love you, Just as God loves me and you. The sun and the moon are opposing forces. But they still greet each other, Peacefully as one awakens in the morning, just as the other goes to sleep. Life has pounded me down and thrashed me around, time and time again, but I always get right back up because I still love life – just as the earth still loves the rain." Suzy Kassem.
On a lighter note, John may need to read this. He is so on edge at the moment. Those of you who don't realize the Broncos will be playing their first match of the season this weekend. They have Covid problems, and John is furious with the players who have not looked after themselves. I will ensure he reads today's blog.
While I am not a cricket fan (except for when we watched our grandsons playing) will have our social media Angel, Kat, include this beautiful u-tube clip by Dr Gupta as a tribute to Shane Warne. "Lessons from Shane Warne’s death” – a cardiologist's perspective. This is well worth taking in Dr Gupta's Words of Wisdom.
How does the saying go? Variety is the spice of life, and today's blog certainly ticks the box. We so appreciate all your lovely feedback, particularly when the blog contains something that personally resonates with you. Thank you.
Until next week – take care and stay safe as we send the blessings of peace, health and happiness to each of you.
Love Annette
