Hello Special People
Yep, with a blink of an eye, we are looking towards the end of February.
Are you celebrating a birthday in February? I understand those born in February are honest and creative with a unique and original sense of style. Others admire you for your positive outlook on all aspects of life. Your colour this month is purple. Happy birthday!!
We trust that you have all enjoyed a great week. The week here has been steady. Open houses are going well. Everyone seems to love the house, so we may see some positive moves soon. John does remind me, "We are in no great hurry Annette."
I think I mentioned last week I was saying my prayers that Mathilda would stay safe in O Week. I am happy to report all went well. Well, on Saturday, she was on a plane to Melbourne with Leisa to go to the Taylor Swift Concert. They had a great time swapping wristbands and generally joining in the fun of the whole surrounds. Mathilda really played her part with Cowboy Boots and Cowboy Hat. She looked great, but Leisa tells me there were plenty more dressed for this special occasion.
Amazing what Taylor Swift has done for the economy of the cities where she has performed. An incredible entertainer, Leisa and Mathilda are privileged to be a small part of all the excitement. Leisa said Melbourne was alive. Everyone adopted the spirit of Taylor being in town. Taylor responded by congratulating the crowd. It was a record for her concerts, so she decided to do a lap of honour at the Melbourne Cricket Ground to mark the occasion. What beautiful memories for everyone. Taylor is certainly a busy lady. She was in Japan for two weeks before coming to Melbourne. In between, she fitted in the American Football Super Bowl where her partner was playing for Kansas City. Kansas did the right thing and won the final in the last three seconds, allowing a relieved Taylor to hop on her jet and enjoy a comfortable trip to Australia. I love success stories like this, they warm your heart.
On the local scene, I had a more successful mango trip this week. We decided our best chance was Fernvale, and so it was. A roadside stall with organic Bowen Mangoes, so we filled our bags and have been enjoying delicious mangoes all week. I will have John on the Fernvale run again on Sunday morning. He is well rewarded as we enjoy morning tea on the trip. We had quite a find last week. The Tree Change Café tucked away in one of the little shopping centres. Very kind country ladies running the place and yummy fresh food to go with the service. We will certainly visit again next week. I just love supporting the local ladies who work so hard.
We are blessed where we are tucked away here in Brisbane, but with all the beautiful trees, we have to share with Mother Nature's creatures. I Just had the most beautiful peace Lilly with gorgeous new leaves and went out to find them all chewed off. My first thought was the possums, so I decided to cover them. To my surprise, no, not possums, but the culprits were the largest green grubs enjoying the beautiful fresh leaves. They are disgusting, and I will persevere to remove them all.
We have had so much rain here in Brisbane. We were up early on Friday to drive to the Gold Coast for the Annual Nutrimetics Conference. It was teaming down, and it kept raining all the way to the coast. It was a terrible drive, and John did well to hold his patience not only in the rain but also in the traffic. A normal one-hour journey took two hours. We stayed the day for the senior meetings. It was great to catch up with interstate and international friends, and thankfully, the trip home was much more pleasant with only light rain.
We were thrilled to attend the meetings as the company has some amazing new initiatives ahead, both with products and international expansion. We are already online in New Zealand and Greece, with Korea on the table in a couple of months. To that point, one of the best compliments you could extend to John, and I are referrals to family and friends. Whether it be to enjoy purchasing their products at the best possible prices or maybe even wanting to earn a little extra income. We would love the opportunity to be able to introduce new folk to our beautiful products or the business opportunity. The business has been good to us, and we love being able to pay it forward.
This week on the Business Of with Will Chapman and Charlie Sleth: Sir Peter John Cosgrove.
In a South Vietnam battlefield where the fog was so thick you could barely see 10 metres in front of yourself, with no direct fire support and just a platoon of young soldiers in tow to take out an occupied enemy bunker, it was under these sets of circumstances that our next guest, Sir Peter Cosgrove, pulled off his first of many remarkable military feats.
Thank you for your lovely comments and feedback as we touch base each week. We also love hearing the news of your families.
“Every morning, we are born again. What we do today is what matters most." Buddha Along with these wise words from Buddha, we send the blessings of health and happiness.
Take Care
